Weddings From Last Weekend
Saturday, July 23rd, 2011Last weekend was a busy one for us. The studio photographed 3 great events over the two days. First was Monica and Steve at the Abernathy Center in Oregon City.
Sunday, our Associate Wedding Photographer Tom Boyd shot up in Woodland (above).
Also on Sunday, Craig and Liz shot at Postlewaits Farm in Canby. Congratulations to all our brides and grooms!
Pictures are worth 1000 words…
Thursday, July 15th, 2010…in English, or Romanian!
Last month I shot a traditional Romanian wedding. The ceremony was 2.5 hours long and not an ounce of English was spoken. I had absolutely zero idea was was going on, what was being said, when things were going to happen, etc, etc. I could only rely on my instincts and reading body language. Towards the end of the ceremony, everyone stood up and the bride and groom held hands. They were off to the corner of the stage and the church was shaped in a way I could be behind them without being on stage and still behind the guests sitting in the pews. As I was shooting them, again having no idea if this was a vow exchange, or the end of the ceremony or what, I saw her parents and I could see how happy and proud they were and it is one of my favorite images of the day (photo in upper left corner). Here are a few of my other favorites from the day, including a few by my associate shooter Thomas Boyd.
Welcome Thomas Boyd
Sunday, January 31st, 2010I am excited to present the work of Thomas Boyd. Boyd is joining our studio as an associate shooter and is available for weddings that I am not able to shoot.
He has been a photojournalist for over 20 years, working for the Columbian, Register-Guard and is now currently a staff photographer at the Oregonian in Portland.
His work is outstanding and he has long been one of my favorite photographers in the entire country. I am happy am proud to have him work under our studio name.
See more of his work here.
