Clip: Diego Chara for Green and White Magazine
Here is a clip of the Green and White Magazine cover I shot a few weeks back featuring Timbers midfielder Diego Chara.
While waiting for Diego to come out of the locker room after training, I was told there was no way I could make a goal from the center of the pitch where we were setup. Challenge accepted! I took my attempt right as Diego came out…and it was a disaster. Way off target and didn’t even make it to the goal! I suck at soccer apparently. As Diego – one if the nicest athletes I’ve ever worked with – was laughing at me, I thought I’d be smooth and make another attempt, this time from just outside the 18 yard box where the ball had stopped rolling. I lined up another shot and just missed wide left. Damn it. Diego was clearly amused. Me, not so much!
After he stopped laughing, we shot a series of images and this is what made it onto the cover. I like it.
