Clip: USA Today

A few weeks ago I was sent out to the Portland ship yards to shoot photos for a story about American exports to China. I shot photos at a ship building company that builds barges and fixes up cargo ships to be exported. Pretty interesting. The story was the centerpiece in the Money section on Thursday. Here is how it was used in the paper. Guys welding is probably cliche for an industrial story, but that’s really all that was going on so thats what I shot. :)

I was happy they used the portrait too. Normally, I hate graphics over images, but I think it works well in this case and I like it. Here is an outtake from the shoot to see how it looks in color.
