Internship: Portland Timbers

I am looking for interns to work with me on Timbers projects specifically. Below is the information, let me know if you have any questions!:

The Portland Timbers are looking for photography interns for the 2011 season. You will work directly with and report to the team photographer Craig Mitchelldyer. There are openings for Winter (Dec-Mar), Spring (Mar-June) and Summer (July-Oct) interns. You are welcome to apply for more than one term.

Responsibilities include:

* Action and feature photography at all home games.

* Photography of select player appearances and press conferences, corporate events and team training sessions

* Assist team photographer with player photo shoots.

* Edit, caption and send game action photos from team photographer

* Caption and archive stock photos

* Work closely with team communications office and PR dept for game day photo needs

* Assist team video crew as needed

* 1-2 days (5-10 hours) a week in the off season (Nov-March), up to 3-4 days (10-20 hours) a week during the season (Mar-Oct). With the exception of games and player appearances, hours are flexible.

Requirements:

* Own your own equipment, there may be access to some pool equipment, but you should own a professional dSLR camera and lenses. Please include your equipment list when applying

* It is recommended you live in Portland, OR or surrounding area, but not required.

* Photography student or recent graduate (non students can apply, but priority will be given to students)

* Have a strong interest in sports photography

Compensation:

* This is an unpaid internship. Your school may offer credit for work experience internships.
