Streetcars for USA Today

last week I had an assignment from USA Today to shoot a story about streetcars. Portland is a model city for other cities around the US as far as building new lines, etc. I shot this portrait of a business owner in the Pearl and this one:

The funny thing about working on this story is that the streetcar only comes by one every 15-20 minutes. I did a lot of wait, wait, wait, shoot real quick, wait wait wait. People were giving us some funny looks as we stood on a traffic island with lights and gear waiting for trains to roll by. Oh well. You can see the story on the link above.
