Oden out for season – again

I almost didn’t go to the Blazer game tonight, but last minute Jenn got tickets with a friend so I figured I’d go shoot it. The team is walking wounded, Nicholas Batum, Travis Outlaw, Rudy Fernandez, and others all out with injuries, so much so coach Nate McMillian suited up at practice and then tore his Achillies! Man, they can just not catch a break. I went to the game thinking I’d move a photo of Nate in his boot real quick, but 4 minutes into the game, Greg Oden came crashing to the floor.

It didn’t look good as they loaded him onto a stretcher.

Diagnosis: fractured left patella. Out for the season. I feel really bad for Greg and I hope the team can get healthy and still have a good season. Only time will tell. Side note: I was digging the throw back uni’s. I thought they looked cool.

all I can say is it’s a good thing they hung onto Joel… hmmm, wonder what Durant/(Jordan?) is up to? Great shots, Craig – wouldn’t have noticed Nate’s boot if you hadn’t mentioned it.

Such a bummer. I feel bad for Oden, because he’s worked so hard and improved so much. Must be tough for a 21-yr old kid with so many expectations to deal with this crap.

i can’t believe we won the game on Sat. It’s like everyone in sitting out! jeez. Made for exciting (also sloppy) game to say the least.
