Workshop Images

Yesterday I held a lighting workshop and it was a lot of fun. We met at my studio and talked about all kinds of light. We discussed different modifiers and light ratios and how they effect a photo and built up multiple photos using multiple lights and modifiers. Then we went on location near the Fremont Bridge and shot different scenarios with our models Ngum and Nicole using softboxes, beauty dishes, grids, speedlights and reflectors. Here are a few samples of some of the images we shot.

Pro Photo Supply once again brought out a ton of equipment for people to use. Make sure you support your local camera store!

Nicole Wagner did a great job with the make-up for our models as well. Be sure to check out her new website.

At the end of the day we went back to the studio to edit everyone’s work. We gave away prizes, including a lensbaby, reflectors, actions DVD and a Honl snoot to the participants with the best images from the day. The winner was Sheryll Byrne who went away with a new lensbaby for this image:

Thanks to all who participated. I hope to do another one soon. If you are interested in attending a future workshop, please let me know.
