Wedding Dance
Here is an image from Saturday. I wasn’t shooting the action at the Civil War, but I did get some nice dance action. More to come.

Nice shot! How did you have your flashes setup for this one?

It is 2 speedlights, cross lit one on each side of the dance floor. It’s a little bit of luck and pre planning. It’s the first dance, so I had no idea what they were going to do, but I setup my position and the light to get something like this. I laid my camera on the ground to get the low angle to show the xmas lights strung from the ceiling. Then I got lucky that he twirled her around and she made a good face/good action. Doesn’t always work that way……but the shots of them just dancing are nice too because of the light and angle, which I pre planned.

I would like to use this photo for my website to teaching couples how to dance.

[...] 1. I absolutely adore this image–the bride looks so joyful! The simple strands of lights hanging above the dance floor are an inexpensive way to bring a little twinkle to your dance party. Photo by Mitchelldyer Photography. [...]

Hello,
I am a fan of your work. You have a great eye and your post processing is very pleasing. I own a local DJ company in the Colorado Springs area and would be interested in using this photo in my local advertising. Please let me know if it is ok to do this and if there are any associated charges. Thank you!
