Bad Blogger – Let’s play catch-up
I’ve been a bad blogger/busy photographer lately. So I’m going to play a little catch-up. Here are the wedding’s from the last couple of weeks that I have not posted. This first one was 8/22 at Kruger Farm. My first time there, it was a cool location for sure.
The next day I shot all over downtown. We started at a hotel on 5th Ave and then hopped the MAX, transferred to the Streetcar and ended up at the EcoTrust Building in the Pearl District. These guys new how to party. I’ve never seen so many broken glasses falling off tables. A lot of fun.
The next weekend I went out to Hillsboro and shot at a Church about a quarter mile from Roloff Farms (of Little People Big World fame).
I am not a huge fan of Lakeside Gardens, it’s a difficult place to shoot in, everything is setup like a bad 80’s wedding photo (just like the 80’s photos they have hanging all over the walls there, they really need to update the artwork), so it is hard to stay away from the cliche’, but I managed to get it done. The floor to ceiling mirrors all over the dance floor/reception area aren’t much fun to shoot around either, but nothing a little flagging and creative angles can’t fix. I shot Jamie’s brothers wedding a couple of years ago so it’s always fun seeing old clients. I have to hand it to them for not freaking out about a little rain and being troopers through a little bit of a wet photo session. As always, click on the image for a larger version.
